Hard Pass is a contemporary sports romance and a first book from the series Trophy Boyfriend’s by the USA Today Best-selling Author, Sara Ney.

“Hard Pass”
That’s what the last girl I slept with said when she got her first sober glimpse of me.
She laughed, walked out of my penthouse—and I never saw her again. It doesn’t matter that I’m a rich, professional athlete; what mattered was my face.
“Pay Up.”
Beauty might only be skin deep for some—but I know better.
That’s what the last girl I spoke to said over the phone when I made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. Desperate to sell a set of rare
baseball cards, she’s clever and entertaining. I’m instantly smitten, but nowhere ready to reveal myself. Thank god she has no idea
who I am—or what I look like.
I’m a professional athlete–how hard can playing the love game be?

Right after college, Miranda wants to open up her own business. But, she needs a big amount of money to be able to do it. So even if against her will she decided to sell her rare collection of baseball cards that her grandpa left for her. Her ad on the internet caught the attention of the Chicago Steam star player of baseball Noah Harding. He’s also a big Baseball fanatic. So he wasted no time to bought the card from Miranda but Noah is shy and self conscious so when its time for them to meet he decided to send his bestfriend (Buzz) instead, to pretend to be him. Buzz tried to hit on Miranda but she totally reject him. And thats when Noah knows that she’s different from other girls that he met.

This book really gets me. There’s a huge smile plastered on my face the whole time Im reading this. It was so good. So different from any other sports romance that I read. I love how the author breaks the stereotype thing ’bout the jocks .. instead of an arrogant, over confident and perfectly good looking ..we have a sensitive, self conscious and shy Hero. He’s so lovable and sweet And that makes me swoon all over him. And let us don’t forget Miranda, A gorgeous, sassy with a kind heart who truly cares about Noah.I fell in love for them instantly together with the secondary characters they are so hilarious. I was absorbed throughout the whole story.
Sara Ney portrays the characters very well and the humors are so entertaining and appealing. But, I was just a little bit disappointed by the ending, It leaves me hanging like I have to read it again and check if there’s a missing chapter.Im hoping that I could get a glimpse of Noah and Miranda in the next book. Though, it’s a complete stand-alone.
oh ! and speaking for the next book! did I mentioned that i love those secondary characters ?! Yes, because ..Trace aka Buzz ! The sexy, funny and complete douche bestfriend of Noah. Im excited and I cant wait to read more of his comical and humorous remarks.
Hard Pass is a funny, sexy, a quick and an easy to read all swoon worthy book that leaves you wanting more. A really great kick-start to a series. If you want a different twist for a sport-romance ..this one is definitely for you.
